Random Round-Up #1

As it turns out, I may have blogged about everything interesting in my life back in my Myspace Blog days. So today I will attempt to entertain you with an assortment of random things. Fortunately I am the only one at work today so I have plenty of time for this. I've even earned a few dollars on ChaCha in between phone calls. Speaking of ChaCha, let's start with that.

Funny questions people are asking ChaCha:

*How do you survive a zombie invasion?

*Who would win in a battle between a taco and a grilled cheese sandwich? (I've actually had this question more than once. I always put my money on the taco.)

*If you were a girl and your sister was your slave for the week, what would you make her do?

*How do you make out?

*Do serfs sleep?

And other stuff that is much funnier but not appropriate for a blog that my parents might be reading. Every day I am amazed at the things people will say when they are anonymous and also the information they'd trust from a text message answer service.

The People In My Neighborhood
Today's happenings around the office complex

*One crazy lady in old time saloon girl get-up. She can generally be spotted walking up and down Oracle road, all day long, but from time to time I see her in the complex. She came in here once asking for bus money. I didn't give her any.

*One tamale man. He pops in to try and sell us tamales about once every 2 weeks. One time we bought the tamales. They were green corn. They were pretty disappointing.

*One mobile car wash man. This guy comes in ALL THE TIME and I HATE him. He does mobile car washing and is constantly trying to get me to have mine done. I told him I do it at the $3 car wash with free vacuum. He wants me to spend $30. Once my boss's wife had her car done which only encouraged him so now he is here a minimum of once a week.

*One lost lady. I watched her wander around for at least 10 minutes trying to find the office she was looking for. She got out of her car, went halfway down the sidewalk, turned around, went the other way, got on her cell phone, went to the directory sign, walked back down the sidewalk, got back in her car, got back out, and finally went into the office next door. I didn't offer to help her because I like to view this as an experiment that I can't interrupt. I don't know what the experiment is but it's best if I just observe.

*One criminal with shackles and police escorts. I think these people must have to go to court-ordered counseling or something at the psychologist next door. I always hope one of them will do something crazy, like make a break for it, but so far it hasn't happened.

Things I Have Done That Are Not Work Related
*ChaCha
*Googled bakeries for ideas on cake flavors, fillings, and decorating ideas
*Looked at Craigslist for rental houses
*Looked at the Missed Connections on Craigslist, for fun. And also, maybe a little bit, to see if anyone is looking for me. Just in case.
*Read the newspaper
*Joined mint.com to manage my funds
*Looked for a weird and random birthday present for my friend Dan, whose birthday is coming up but I can't remember when exactly
*E-mailed my sister 9,000 times
*Ate a cupcake with a fork
*Blogged about all of it
Well, it's 10:55 and my co-workers have begun to trickle in so I guess I will go do something more productive now. Keep your fingers crossed that something great happens soon and you will have a more substantial blog post to read.

Your life is so much more exciting than mine. Maybe I'll do a blog post about Alaska weirdos....

I think that the "experiment" watching is my favorite . . very funny! If I made that kind of list it would be highlighting how weird my kids are (they are the only people I see all day) but I guess that is already what I do on my blog. At least you have internet freedom at work. What is chacha?

mint.com is cool. I like graphs. And they email you when your bills are due.
